Rector of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy V.V.Velikanov congratulates on the 185th anniversary of the Academy

Dear colleagues, employees, students and all people involved in the development of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy! I cordially congratulate you on the anniversary date - the 185th anniversary of the founding of our academy!

On August 15, 1840, the grand opening of the Gory-Goretsky agricultural school took place. It became the basis for the future Belarusian State Agricultural Academy.

Today, the Belarusian State the Orders of the October Revolution and the Labour Red Banner Agricultural Academy is the leading center for agrarian science and training for agricultural enterprises of the Republic of Belarus. The experience, knowledge and skills of entire generations of excellent teachers and outstanding scientists are accumulated here.

Over the 185-year period of its existence, the academy has gone through a difficult path of numerous transformations, but throughout this period it has grown up specialists and scientists for the agro-industrial complex. One of the indicators of the effectiveness of the Academy is a high assessment of the quality of training of graduates who successfully work in production and research establishments.

The scientists of the Academy make a significant contribution to the development of agriculture, introduce scientific developments into production, participate in international cooperation and exchange of experience with foreign enterprises and higher educational institutions.

On this significant day, please, accept the sincere wishes of prosperity, well-being, development of talents and the implementation of new projects for the benefit of the Republic of Belarus! Let our alma mater remain a pillar of agricultural science and strengthen its position in the country's higher education system.

Solemn events dedicated to the celebration of the anniversary of the Academy will be held on October 3, 2025.
