Development of the relations with the People's Republic of China

From June 8 to June 20, 2025, the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations and Pre-University Education Alexander Pashkevich visited the People's Republic of China. During this trip, visits were made to educational institutions and companies in 4 provinces of the People's Republic of China.

During the trip, meetings were held with representatives of 3 general educational institutions, 3 secondary schools, and 1 educational company.

During the meeting with representatives of Guangzhou New Dream Services Inc, areas of cooperation were discussed with residents of Guangdong Province of the People's Republic of China who want to study in the Republic of Belarus, as well as possible assistance to this company in the further admission of these citizens to the academy for general and advanced higher education.

A meeting was held with the administration of the Maoming Technical College of Agriculture and Forestry of Guangdong Province. During the meeting, issues related to the training of college teachers in postgraduate school in Belarus, their advanced training at the academy were discussed. The parties also discussed the possibility of creating a joint educational programme according to the "3 + 2" scheme in the specialties 6-05-0811-02 "Production of animal products" and 6-05-0831-01 "Aquatic biological resources and aquaculture," which will allow Chinese students to receive general higher education at the academy.

A cooperation agreement was signed between the educational establishment "Belarusian State the Orders of the October Revolution and the Labour Red Banner Agricultural Academy" and the Maoming Technical College of Agri-culture and Forestry of Guangdong Province.

When holding a meeting with the management of the secondary school in Maoming, Guangdong Province, the possibility was discussed of creating a spe-cial class in which school students will study Russian and, after graduation, will be able to enter the academy. This school has experience in implementing a simi-lar programme with one of Singapore's higher educational institutions.

During a meeting with representatives of the Wuhan Engineering Institute, Hubei Province, those present were familiarized with the faculties, specialties and material and technical base of the Academy. The agreements were reached on in-teraction within the framework of a joint educational programme under the "2 + 2" scheme in the specialities 6-05-0311-03 "World Economy" and 6-05-0421-01 "Jurisprudence," the admission of students for which will begin in 2025/26 aca-demic year. The project of an agreement has been submitted to the Chinese side for study.

A meeting was held with the management of Guanyin High School in Xinxiang, Henan Province, during which those present were familiarized with the material and technical base of the academy, with the faculties and specialties in which training is conducted. A cooperation agreement has been signed between the school and the academy.

During the visit, a meeting was also held with school students who study the Russian language, during which they were shown a film about the academy, answers were given to their questions about Belarus, training and living in the academy.

During a visit to Kaifeng High School in Henan Province, a meeting was held with Russian language students, during which information was provided on the following areas of the academy's activities:

- familiarization with the history of the Academy;

- main achievements of the Academy in the field of education;

- material and technical base;

- a list of faculties and specialties in which specialists are trained on general higher education level;

- opportunities for further development of their qualifications after receiving higher education;

- living conditions of foreign students.

A meeting was held with the administration of Kunming Metallurgical Col-lege, Yunnan Province, with which a joint educational programme "3 + 2" is be-ing implemented in the specialties 6-05-0811-03 "Ameli-oration and water man-agement" and 6-05-0532-03 "Land management and cadastres." During the meet-ing the parties discussed the issues of increasing the number of special courses to five, according to which students will be trained within the framework of this programme, training the college teachers in master's and postgraduate studies in the academy, and a visit of the college managers to the academy.

A.V. Pashkevich also spoke to the students participating in a joint educa-tional programme. He answered all questions related to education and living dur-ing their stay in the Republic of Belarus.

The results of the visit were covered in the mass media of the People's Republic of China.

The trip once again demonstrated that the People's Republic of China is our strategic partner and is interested in developing close cooperation in the educa-tional field.
