A Visit of Chinese Partners to the Academy

Throughout the past week, the academy hosted guests from the People's Republic of China. Our university was visited by a representative delegation of the Professional College of Business and Trade of Inner Mongolia, with which the academy has a cooperation agreement. The delegation also included representatives of the business community of the PRC, managers of food manufacturing companies, deputy chairman of Inner Mongolia Grassland Xiaojunma Food Co., Ltd Liu Lei and deputy chairman of Inner Mongolia Xiaoju Catering Management Co., Ltd Gao Yanli.       

The partners of the academy invited the students of the academy to participate in the work of the Belarusian-Chinese international culinary school, which was held in the canteen of the BSAA. Master classes from professionals, Dean of the Faculty of Catering and Food Wu Guodong, his assistants and faculty teachers Chen Hao and Liu Jiashang, made a strong impression on everyone present. Acquaintance with the national cuisine of China, tasting various dishes, the opportunity to personally participate in the cooking process and learn some techniques of chefs, certainly contributed to the increase in our students's interest in Chinese culture and, of course, made us think about the value and importance of preserving our own national traditions.

But not only culinary art brought our guests from the Celestial Empire to the educational establishment "Belarusian State Agricultural Academy." The members of the delegation themselves had the opportunity to study the experience of Belarusian higher education professionals. During their stay in Gorki, members of the delegation from the Chinese province of Inner Mongolia completed an internship at the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining of Personnel of the BSAA "Innovative Elements in Economic Management and Business Management." As a result of the training, our partners received certificates of internship.

The rich programme of the stay allowed the guests to get acquainted with the living and study conditions of the Chinese students of the academy, and to visit Belarusian food industry enterprises. For example, visits were organized to such enterprises as "Yubileiny" agricultural complex in the Orsha region, Mogilev Meat Processing Plant and Mogilev Ice Cream Factory, OJSC "Molochnye Gorki".

The overall result of the weekly joint work was an understanding of the exceptional importance of developing our interaction with Chinese partners, and the events held during the visit of the delegation demonstrated the mutual benefit and genuine interest of the parties to mutually beneficial cooperation, which will undoubtedly develop in the near future.
