The Second National Forum on Sustainable Development
On June 19, 2024, the Second National Forum on Sustainable Development was held in Minsk. The event was attended by more than 400 participants. Among them there were representatives of the diplomatic corps, state bodies, public organizations, the business environment, the UN camp team, regional sustainable development groups, scientific institutions, youth, international organizations, and the media. The Belarusian State the Orders of the October Revolution and the Labour Red Banner Agricultural Academy was represented by a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Economics Pavel Voronov, Ambassador of Sustainable Development Goals No. 1 of the 4th convocation in the Republic of Belarus.
Within the framework of the Forum, a comprehensive discussion was held on the progress of the Republic of Belarus in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and priority areas of sustainable development in the context of the development of the National Strategy for Sustainable Development until 2040. Forum participants discussed a number of key topics: the transition to inclusive and sustainable growth, social innovations and digital transformations, business-state partnership for sustainable development, smart cities and sustainable regions of the future. They also exchanged best practices and best international experience in this area.
The Faculty of Economics expresses confidence that Pavel Voronov will make every effort to promote the Sustainable Development Goals in the Republic of Belarus.
