Happy Birthday, Basketball!

December 21 is celebrated as The World Basketball Day. It was officially established by a resolution of the UN General Assembly, in order to promote sports and physical activity in society!

The day of December 21 was chosen in honor of the date when the first basketball game (or, better to say, its prototype) took place. The "inventor" of the game was James Naismith, a physical education teacher at the Christian Youth Association training center in Springfield, Massachusetts, USA.

For the second time, on this date, the academy organizes 3x3 basketball competitions among employees and teachers of the academy. This year the 60th anniversary of the "Health Spartakiad" is taking place.

The final positions were distributed as follows:

1st place - Faculty of International Relations and Pre-University Education;

2nd place - Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization;

3rd place - Faculty of Accounting;

4th place - Faculty of Agrotechnology.
