The Chinese New Year - Spring Holiday at the Academy

If in Belarus the New Year is traditionally considered to be a winter holiday, then in China it is called the Spring Holiday. It is believed that on the Chinese New Year, winter meets spring and a new countdown begins.

As throughout the world, the New Year is one of the most important holidays for the inhabitants of the Celestial Empire. For Chinese traditional culture, the New Year's Eve is the most important event in family life, so everyone considers it their duty to celebrate the New Year with their families, parents and relatives.

In our academy we also tried to create a family atmosphere for guests who attended the Chinese New Year - Spring Holiday celebration on Jan. 25, 2023, which was held at the BSAA International Friendship Club. The international spirit of the academy was manifested in the fact that the holiday brought together students and guests from China, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, Cameroon, Ivory Coast and, of course, Belarus.

Students from the Celestial Empire were congratulated by the Head of the Center for Chinese Language and Culture Svetlana Dobizhi, and the Leading specialist of the Faculty of International Relations and Pre-University Education Dmitry Rachikov. In a solemn atmosphere, certificates were awarded to students of Chinese language courses. Guests of the event were congratulated with musical performances.
