MEETING OF EXCELLENT STUDENTS AT BSAA

Belarusian State Agricultural Academy held a meeting of excellent students, where the best students were honored, according their results of the last academic year in their studies, scientific work, sports, cultural and social life.

Such events are expected with special trepidation at the academy. They are always prepared thoroughly and with great responsibility. Indeed, as they say, the places on the podium of the academy are at stake. And this is not only rivalry, competition for the victory, but also an intrigue, a kind of adrenaline in the eternal dispute "Who is the best?" It should be especially noted that in this rivalry, unlike beauty contests, victory is not won for amazing eyes, but, first of all, for significant successes in studies, scientific, sports, cultural and social life.

While opening the ceremony, rector Vitaly Velikanov stressed that the main and priority task of the student is to study well, learn the basics of sciences, disciplines and the chosen profession. However, life is not limited only by studying. The student years are the best ones, and every minute should be productively used. All the necessary conditions have been created at the BSAA, so that the guys can realize their abilities and talents on the stage in creative teams, in sports, as well as in research centers and laboratories.

The talented student youth of the academy were also greeted by the chairman of the district executive committee Mikhail Guly:

- We can speak about our alma mater using the word “best" for many reasons. In our country, the best specialists of agricultural and other profiles are trained at BSAA, where the best lecturers work. Our students win at the republican competitions of rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, in the legal championships of the Investigative Committee. And all these happen in the best city of youth, the city of Gorki.

Mikhail Guly noted that BSAA is famous for its graduates, who have become real professionals in their field and strong managers in different levels, including the highest government positions. He expressed confidence that we will hear again about the achievements of those guys who will come on stage for well-deserved awards. The head of the district wished the students realization of all their talents in our native Belarus, where all the conditions were created for them.

"Our country," Mikhail Guly concluded, "is proud of you." Future ministers and scientists study here. It’s not easy to be the best. Monomakh's hat was very heavy! Nevetheless, it must be worn with dignity.

The head of Gorki district presented certificates of awarding the prize of the district executive committee for high results in academic, intellectual, social and sports activities to Yana Dovbenko, a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Economics, Karina Palaznik, a third-year student of the Faculty of Land Management, Yulia Timchenko, a third-year student of the Faculty of Accounting, Daria Choporova, a third-year student of the Faculty of Agrotechnology.

The best trade union leader was a graduate of the economic faculty Maxim Kuts, the best chairman of the student council of the hostel became Vladimir Mazeyko, a master student at the Faculty of Economics. The fourth-year student of the Faculty of Accounting Victoria Legankova was awarded for success in research work. Master student of the Faculty of Mechanization of Agriculture Elena Shalypina was the best in the students' sport. The best cultural events organizer of the faculty was the third-year student of the Faculty of Economics Nikita Melnikov, and the second-year student of the Faculty of Business and Law Nikolai Dikalenko was the big surprise of the year.

The winners in the most prestigious nominations were students of the Faculty of Economics. The fourth-year student Yana Dovbenko became the best student of the year. And the fourth group of the final year studying in the specialty "World Economics" was recognized as the best student group. Its tutor is Anna Taranova, the head student is Yana Dovbenko, and the trade union leader is Sabrina Goryanskaya.
