Last Tuesday, Gorki was visited by a delegation from Mongolia led by the Governor of Aimak Bulgan Batbayar Ariun-Erdene. The guests got acquainted with the educational and production potential of our region.

The Academy has got special master's programmes, as well as the experience of training doctoral students for other countries.

Mongolian students also receive higher education in Gorki. In 2022, two of them graduated from the Academy with the speciality "Horticulture" and "Amelioration and Water Management" Their education was a part of an intergovernmental agreement. Today, 5 more Mongolian citizens continue their studies in different faculties at the BSAA.

- This year I finish my study at the Faculty of Agronomy. I am very glad that I have studied here, - the fourth-year student Chimedtseye Bold-Erdene shared his impressions in fluent Russian. - The Academy has created the most favorable conditions for students. You can do everything you like: sports in the sports centre, swimming-pool and the Ice Arena, creativity - in the Cultural Centre. There is an opportunity to spend a good time at the amphitheatre.

The guests were presented with new items - lactose-free cottage cheese in a cup. By the way, import substitution helped the company to start producing packaging material independently. Yuri Streltsov spoke about the plans to establish another new cheese production line with a capacity of 20 tons per day. This will increase the processing of milk by 200 tons per day.

In the Ice Arena, the Mongolian delegation not only appreciated the sports infrastructure of the region. Governor Batbayar Ariun-Erdene awarded the winners of the handball tournament from Orsha, Gorki and Belynichi districts.

OPINION

The head of the Bulgan aimak administration B. ARIUN-ERDENE:

- On the second day of our stay on the beautiful Mogilev land the programme in Gorki is very rich. I am very glad that we could visit the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy, where President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksander Lukashenko studied. We have visited faculties and departments, and have met students from Mongolia.

We can learn a lot from you, train highly qualified specialists in Gorki to work in Mongolia, and open new common directions of activities between the aimak Bulgan and the Mogilev region. Our visit gives impetus to this cooperation.

Aimak Bulgan is a large region in Mongolia specialized in agriculture, animal husbandry in particular. Economic cooperation between Mongolia and Belarus is growing dynamically. The turnover amounted to more than $2 million. Compared to 2020, when there was $1 million, this is a good indicator.

We are interested in studying the experience of the "Molochnye Gorki" plant. Belarus has introduced a technology that is wide-spread and has made great progress in this area. I hope that we will also transfer dairy production in Mongolia to this technology. Thus, we will support our producers, small and medium-sized businessmen who are engaged in the dairy industry.
