Gratitude

 On May 21, 2020, a meeting of the Board of Rectors of the CIS leading agrarian higher educational establishments was held online on the theme: "Organization of educational activities in the context of the coronavirus pandemic." The meeting was attended by 19 university leaders from 10 countries, as well as by observers from St. Petersburg State Agrarian University and Arctic State Agri-Technological University. Issues were considered concerning organization of current and final assessment, work of state examination commissions in the conditions of quarantine, tasks in post-quarantine period, as well as peculiarities of students' practices, organization of admission campaign in the conditions of coronavirus epidemic, academic mobility, advanced training of employees. A constructive and useful conversation took place. It was noted that successful work requires cooperation of agrarian universities, close integration of education and science. Specific recommendations have been made for the organization of educational activities under quarantine and post-quarantine conditions.

The chairman of the Board of rectors, Rector of the Kazakhstan national agricultural university, Vice-president of Kazakhstan National Academy of Sciense, the academician T.I. Espolov in his letter to BSAA thanked Rector Vitaly Velikanov and First vice-rector Andrey Kolmykov for their active participation in the meeting of Board of rectors of the leading agrarian higher educational establishments of the CIS and expressed confidence that our joint efforts will contribute to the development, and increase the efficiency of agrarian education.
