The Chinese Master students from the North-West University of Agriculture and Forestry have completed their three-months internship in the speciality "fruit growing". The internship was carried out at the department of horticulture, at the same time their interest was aroused by the department of agricultural biotechnology, ecology and radiology, in particular tomatoes selection.
The leading teacher of the course for undergraduates was Andrey Isakov, Associate Professor of the Department of Horticulture, who tried to satisfy all the needs and interests of the students. During the internship, the students from China showed their interest to practical aspects of growing fruit trees, rather than to theoretical problems.
The internship programme also included a visit to the Institute of Fruit Growing of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus, as well as the greenhouse company DORORS.
In addition to the gardening course, the students took the course "Russian as a foreign language" in the amount of 120 academic hours. At the end of the course the students were awarded certificates. The internship, which began on March 4, was successfully completed on May 30.
