Unity Day

On September 17, the Belarusian people celebrate The National Unity Day, which was established in 2021.

This date was not chosen by chance. On September 17, 1939, the Red Army crossed the border with Poland, and the reunification of Western Belarus and the BSSR began. The restored unity of the divided people allowed Belarus to survive during the Great Patriotic War.

As part of the "Week of Unity," which took place from September 12 to 18, patriotic actions were held, such as solemn openings of commemorative signs and memorials, auto and bike rides, round tables. All of them are a symbol of the unification of Belarusians as a nation and are aimed at preserving spiritual values and moral ideals that have always been important for our people.

The delegation of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy became part of the patriotic forum "This is our history," which was held in Minsk Arena with the participation of the President of the Republic of Belarus - Aleksander Lukashenko.

- Dear friends, Aleksander Lukashenko welcomed the participants of the forum. - You work hard, bring up children and you cannot imagine what a storm of emotions in the world was caused by the proclamation of the National Unity Day in Belarus. But one thing remains unchanged. We live on our land and will not give it to anyone!

The festive concert started with a performance of a guitarist and drummers in blue jerseys and with red and green glowing sticks. The musical and theatrical performance, telling about historical events that took place in Belarus, took the audience on an exciting journey. The symbol of unity in the hands of all those present at the concert was neon bracelets, which glowed either red or green.

Oksana Nedyukhina, head of management department of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy, told the country's main TV channel Belarus-1 about the importance of celebrating this holiday.
