VII International Festival of Volunteer Teams "Our choice is a healthy lifestyle!"
On April 27-29, the VII International Festival of Volunteer Teams "Our Choice is a Healthy Lifestyle!" was held at Polessky State University. The event was attended by more than 30 volunteer teams from Belarus and Russia.
Our academy was represented by participants of the volunteer club "Sensitive Hearts" Pavel Artemenko, Ivan Agorodnikov, Anastasia Erofeeva, and the head of the club Yulia Yasyukovich.
On the first day of the festival, they took an active part in the work of interactive platforms: "Drugs are the face of tragedy," "Mental health. Learn how to cope with crises", "Learn to say no. Personal boundaries. Bulling", "Providing first aid". A brain battle was also held on the topic "Olympic values and a healthy lifestyle". At the end of the day cultural and entertainment events from the student team "Trably" took place.
On April 28, the rector of Polessky State University Valery Dunai, the head of the Republican Volunteer Center Victoria Zakharevskaya, the deputy head of the Republican Volunteer Center Elena Golovan, the director of the Belarusian Olympic Academy Natalya Aponchuk held the opening ceremony of the festival in a solemn atmosphere.
On the same day, a sports warm-up and master classes on calisthenics, intensive training on the Tabata system, occupational therapy, yoga, Latin American dancing and training in self-defense skills were held for volunteers.
Three days flew as one. A rich and diverse programme was dynamic and productive for volunteers, they shared their experience and adopted it from others, passed interesting tests, got acquainted with new interesting people, and most importantly, found many new friends. The holiday ended with the concert "Healthy lifestyle - rock with us!"
Following the results of the festival, our team "Sensitive Hearts" was awarded a diploma for active participation in the VII International Festival of Volunteer Teams "Our Choice is a Healthy Lifestyle!"
