One of the main public holidays is approaching - May 9th. The holiday, that "smells of gunpowder," is associated with multimillion losses and suffering of Soviet people. Today, decades later, it unites whole generations. This holiday serves as an example of resilience, courage and heroism. It inspires peaceful creative work. May 9th has a special moral, spiritual, and patriotic value. Victory Day is forever inscribed in the genetic memory of the Soviet people who defeated fascism. Victory Day is infinitely dear to the Belarusian people, who in the early morning of June 22, 1941 took on the treacherous hit of the Nazis. Our long-suffering republic made an invaluable contribution to the shared Victory, having put every third resident on its Altar.

During the peaceful post-war period, more than one generation have been brought up, which knows about the bloodiest and most ruthless war only from books, movies, and the memories of still living witnesses of those fiery years. It’s the River of Human Memory, which slowly flows through the fate of the peoples of the former USSR, does not allow Time to erase, and heal the wounds of war. In the victorious days of May, this Memory gathers thousands, millions of people to memorials and monuments, to requiem rallies and processions in order to remind the living of the cost of saving the world from the "brown plague" in the great tribulation for the dead.

"In the heroic annals of Belarus there was no battle more brutal than the Great Patriotic War. There was no feat more significant than the feat of the Soviet soldier who defended his homeland from the enemy, "- this statement of the President of our country Alexander Lukashenko, as well as the Feat of the Soviet people itself, will never fade, will not lose its meaning and relevance. It "beats the trumps" out of those who today heroize the Nazis and their accomplices, those who worship the white-red-white flags, under which the genocide of the Belarusian people was carried out. "I am sure that the generation of Belarusians, brought up on the example of courage, resilience and loyalty to duty, will continue to honor and defend the truth about the war," the head of state is convinced.

Our contemporaries had the great happiness of living under the peaceful sky, and building a strong and independent Belarus. Therefore, we are proud of the unparalleled Feat of the liberator people and keep alignment with it.

On these pre-holiday days, accept sincere and warm congratulations on Victory Day with the wishes of peace, health, goodness, success and well-being.
