Indonesia – Belarus

On January 24, 2022, the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy and the University of Tidar (Indonesia) was signed online.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia Jose Tavares, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, employees of the Indonesian Embassy in the Russian Federation, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Indonesia, as well as Professor Mukh Arifin, Rector of Tidar University, First Vice-Rector of Tidar University, deans of faculties.

From the side of the academy Rector of the Academy V.V.Velikanov, Vice-Rector for Educational Work M.M.Volkov, Head of the Department for International Cooperation S.A.Noskova, and deans of faculties were present.

After a brief presentation of universities, the floor was given to the rectors of both educational establishments.

In his welcoming speech, Rector of the Academy Vitaly Velikanov thanked the Embassy of Indonesia for the great preliminary work leading up to the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation, and stressed that the signing of this memorandum is the basis for expanding educational and cultural cooperation between our universities. In the long term, the signing of the agreement will contribute to the Belarusian-Indonesian relations.

Professor Mukh Arifin, Rector of Tidar University, also stressed the importance of the event, since a cooperation agreement is signed between two educational institutions with an excellent reputation in the national educational system and abroad. Both rectors expressed hope that the relations between our universities will successfully develop and strengthen in the following years.

After the signing ceremony, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia Jose Tavares congratulated the parties on the signing of the Memorandum and wished success in educational and cultural cooperation.
