New prospects for cooperation with educational establishments in China

On December 10, 2021, online negotiations took place between the administration of Belarusian State Agricultural Academy, and Shandong Agricultural University.  

From BSAA the meeting was attended by the First Vice-Rector Andrei KOLMYKOV, Dean of the faculty of international relations and pre-university education Aleksander PASHKEVICH, and Deputy Dean of the faculty of international relations and pre-university education Dmitry RACHIKOV.

The Chinese side was represented by participants from Shandong University, led by the Head of International Relations and Cooperation Department MENG YAOHUA, and the delegation of China-foreign Cooperation Information Platform (CCIP), led by the Head of International Relations Department ZHANG WEI. Representative of CCIP in the Republic of Belarus Aleksander KURDEKO also took part in the negotiations.

The parties exchanged views on possible areas of cooperation. Thus, the Chinese side expressed interest in conducting joint training in such specialities as “Horticulture” and “Soil Science”, “Land Management” and “Mechanization of Agriculture”. In turn, A.V.Kolmykov expressed confidence, that the list of specialities could be even wider. Among the possible areas of bilateral cooperation exchanges of students and lecturers, and joint scientific research were discussed.  

During the negotiations, it was decided to sign a memorandum of cooperation and continue working meetings to identify specific joint projects and agree on curricula and educational programmes.
