This very high assessment was given by the head of the official delegation of the Altai Territory of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chairman of the Government of this region, which is a part of the Siberian Federal District, Alexander LUKYANOV during a visit to the oldest agrarian university of the Union State of Russia and Belarus - BSAA.

The visit to Mogilev region takes place as part of a four-day official visit of the Altai Territory delegation to Belarus, which began on December 6. On December 7, the Altai delegation worked in the regional center, where negotiations were held with the administration of the Mogilev region. Guests visited a number of industrial enterprises.

Gorki, according to Slavic tradition, greeted Russians with bread and salt, the warmth of friendly handshakes and smiles. The delegation was met by the chairman of the Gorki district executive committee Mikhail GULY, first vice-rector of the academy Andrei KOLMYKOV, vice-rector for educational work Mikhail VOLKOV, vice-rector for educational work Maxim POTAPENKO and other employees of the academy. Business negotiations were held in a small conference room, where A.V.Kolmykov spoke about the conditions for training personnel, the material and technical base of the academy. Discussions on the prospects and opportunities for cooperation continued during an exhibition of scientific achievements, and visits to a number of academic laboratories, the Department of Ichthyology and Fish Farming, and the Fish-farming complex.

The Russian delegation includes Rector of Altai State Agrarian University, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences N.A.KOLPAKOV. Both the head of the delegation A.N. Lukyanov and Nikolai Kolpakov in a short interview for local journalists gave a high assessment of what they had seen. Rector of ASAU N.A.Kolpakov admitted that he was in Belarus for the first time. "I heard about the academy in Gorki when I studied at post-graduate course of the Moscow Agricultural K.A.Timiryazev Academy. And I am very glad that this long-awaited acquaintance came true." Among the prospects for cooperation, rector of the Russian university was interested in the problems of precision agriculture, the biology of crop production. He does not exclude a new field of molecular biology - genomic engineering. Not to mention joint publications of scientific works of scientists, exchange of students and teachers, etc.

On December 8, within the framework of the Altai government delegation visit to Belarus in the city of Minsk, the rector of the BSAA Vitaly VELIKANOV and his colleague from ASAU Nikolai KOLPAKOV were planning to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between the universities.
