November 21 - Agri-Industrial Workers Day

DEAR COLLEAGUES, FRIENDS!

In our country, it is difficult to find a public holiday to which the many thousands of staff of the oldest institution of higher agrarian education would not be related. But the Agri-Industrial Workers Day is special and respected among them. And it's no coincidence. Indeed, it is in this sector of the economy that a huge number of graduates of our Academy work. Their good-faith work ensured the Republic's food security, and created new innovative technologies and jobs. Thanks to the large export potential of the industry, Belarusian farmers are sure to form the country's image on the international market.

But after all agriculture, which in recent years has become a modern agribusiness, is an "open-air workshop," and still depends on the vagaries of the weather. But these negative consequences are minimized, thanks to the professional skills of farmers, and their conscientious work.

For the team of our academy, the main holiday of rural workers and processors of agricultural products is also important because these are not only places of employment for graduates of BSAA. These are also our subsidiaries created on the basis of advanced agricultural enterprises, in which the professional skills of future specialists are honed during practice. These are our modern "laboratories," in which research work is carried out, master classes are held, etc.

The Head of State and the Government are doing everything to ensure that the agricultural export-oriented sector of the country's economy develops dynamically, and contributes not only to the creation of modern infrastructure, but also to the education of a person in the best traditions of peasant labour and caring about our native land. The words of President Alexander Lukashenko "If we save the village - we will save the country" have become not only a catch phrase over the years. They also bear on themselves the special meaning of state care for the land and people that live and work on it.

Allow me to congratulate faculties teachers and professors, all employees and students of the Academy on the upcoming professional holiday - the Day of Agricultural Workers and the Processing Industry of the Agri-Industrial Complex. I wish everyone good health, new achievements and victories, pride of our homeland - the Republic of Belarus.
