The legend man

Over the years, many articles have been written about Demyan Novikov and many words have been said. And today I want to remember again about this man, about a librarian with a capital letter, who gave many years to the academy's library and whose name is still heard by every resident of the town of Gorki.

In 1980, a memorial plaque with a bas-relief by D. R. Novikov was installed on the wall at the entrance to the library, and  in 2016 the academy library began to proudly bear the name of D. R. Novikov.

After many years, we also honor and preserve the traditions created by Demyan Novikov and his associates.

In honor of the 125th anniversary of the birth of D. R. Novikov, a video presentation "The Legend Man" was made, which tells about the life of the great librarian and makes it possible to get acquainted with Demyan Novikov.
