SIGNING OF COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH KUNMING METALLURGICAL COLLEGE

On June 8, 2021, during an online meeting, an agreement was signed on cooperation between the Belarusian State the Orders of the October Revolution and the Labor Red Banner Agricultural Academy and the Kunming Metallurgical College (PRC).

Partnership relations between the two educational istablishments began in the spring of 2019, when a delegation consisting of A. Kolmykov, Acting Rector of BSAA, and A. Pashkevich, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations and Pre-University Education, visited Kunming, Yunnan Province on a business trip. At the same time, a meeting was held with the head and lecturers of the college, familiarization with the organization of the educational process, discussion of possible programmes for preparing bachelors obtaining double diplomas of the BSAA and Kunming Metallurgical College,  as well as of opportunities for exchanging teachers. A Memorandum of Intent was signed with the Kunming Metallurgical College.

Business contacts led to the creation of a training programme in the fields of land reclamation and water management, as well as land management, which involves training on the basis of two partner institutions. The seriousness of the project is confirmed by the fact that the Chinese side agreed on the project at the level of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.

The signing of the cooperation agreement was the logical conclusion of the two-year preparatory work. The meeting was opened by the leaders of the parties: rector of the Kunming Metallurgical College Yang Jin Hua and rector of BSAA Vitaly Velikanov. After the speeches, the rectors put their signatures on the document, and a new important point appeared on the cooperation map of our academy.
