MAIN MEETING OF THE YEAR
On February 25, a solemn meeting of the academy’s work community was held in the large hall of the BSAA Cultural Centre, where the country's leading agricultural university working results for 2020 were summed up.
Irina Yakovleva, a traditional host of public events presented the guests of the meeting. The meeting was visited by Deputy Head of the Education Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sofia-Anelya Gurinovich, Rector of BSAA Vitaly Velikanov, Director of “Uchkhoz- BSAA” Alexander Yankovich, Director of Gorki grain elevator, Honorary Doctor of BSAA Petr Panasyuga, the leader of BSAA trade union committee of teachers and students Aleksandr Oreshkov. The meeting was attended by heads of structural divisions, chairmen of the professional bureau, and other members of the team.
After the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus, the host declared the meeting open.
The main results of the educational, research, production and other activities of the Belarusian State the Orders of the October Revolution and the Labor Red Banner Agricultural Academy for 2020 were presented in a digital presentation, which everyone could see on a large modern screen. They were supplemented in the reports of rector V. Velikanov and trade union leader A. Oreshkov.
Vitaly Velikanov made his speech not only in the status of the head of the country's leading agricultural university. He also spoke as the delegate of the VI All-Belarusian National Assembly, thereby setting a high political tone for the event. He thanked the staff and students as "… we’ve persevered. We thought clearly, realizing that we could lose everything".
The rector continued the tradition of presenting honored awards to the best representatives of BSAA. A professorial robe and the professor certificate were given to Doctor of Economic sciences, Professor of the Department of Cadastre and Land Law Vasily Svitin.
The BSAA graduate Sofia-Anelya Gurinovich did not hide her warm feelings to the alma-mater. She emphasized the fact that the state authorities will continue to provide financial assistance to the leading agrarian educational institution, rightly counting on the fact that this year the academy will successfully fulfill all the control figures for the admission of students.
Words of gratitude to the partner university were heard in the speeches of A.Yankovich and P.Panasyuga. Guests of the meeting awarded a large group of academy’s employees for cooperative work.
The celebration of winners of the academic competition became the culminating point of the main meeting of the year. This ceremony was held by V.Velikanov and A. Oreshkov. Solemnity and a special festive atmosphere were created by participants in amateur performances of the Students Art Centre. The event ended with the performance of the BSAA Anthem.
