Is long-term cooperation with Italy possible?

On December 16, a webinar was held where representatives of the Italian-Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry took part. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Italian Chamber of Commerce Angelo Ilardi, the Ambassador of Italy to the Republic of Belarus Mario Baldi, and the employees of the Faculty of Biotechnology and Aquaculture. The webinar discussed the state of animal husbandry in the Republic of Belarus, plans for the coming years, areas of cooperation of interest to both parties, and the exchange of experience. At the beginning of the webinar, a presentation of the academy was made. Dean of the Faculty of Biotechnology and Aquaculture A.Portnoy represented the main directions of the scientific and educational activities of the faculty, clearly demonstrated the general picture of the development of animal husbandry in the Republic of Belarus and its export potential. Professor G.Medvedev, Head of the Department of Biotechnology and Veterinary Medicine, voiced the main problems that exist in the livestock industry of the Republic of Belarus.

The Italian side made a presentation of Italian companies, such as T.D.M, a leading producer of agricultural equipment and livestock complexes, milking systems in particular . Intermizoo, a leading company in the field of genetics and improvement of cattle breeds through artificial insemination, presented the results of activities in the domestic and international markets.

The parties expressed mutual interest in cooperation on the discussed issues in the field of animal husbandry.
