Uzbekistan is interested in training specialists in fish breeding

On October 22, an online meeting was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus with the representatives of Ministries and Departments of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Natalya Sonich, head of the General Department of Livestock Intensification of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus was the moderator of the meeting. From the academy's side, the meeting was attended by: Nikolai Barulin, head of the department of ichthyology and fish farming, and Svetlana Noskova, head of the department for international cooperation. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Belarus, who visited the Academy last year. They praised the achievements of the Academy, as well as the contribution of the Department of Ichthyology and Fish Farming and personally N.Barulin to the development of this branch of science and production.

Among other issues discussed, the Uzbek side expressed interest in training specialists for the country's fisheries complex. N.Barulin made a detailed presentation about the activities of the department, product processing laboratories, and educational and practical simulators, which help to conduct innovative experimental studies on aquaculture.  He mentioned the opportunities for training Uzbek citizens at the Academy.
