Our contribution to the common welfare of the country

August is a hot time for harvesters: it is necessary to remove the harvest, not to let a single tiny grain disappear, to fill the granaries with generous harvest given to us by our feeding land. And not just remove, but in the shortest possible time. There are not enough workers in the countryside. And then students, future agricultural specialists come to the rescue.

The students of the Faculty of Mechanization of Agriculture did not stand aside. Ninety four third-year students are currently practicing in agricultural enterprises in the Mogilev and Vitebsk regions. Of these, 86 have tractor driver licenses, all the guys can work on tractors and combines, 52 of them have driver's licenses of categories "B", and "C."

Students' working teams, with 85 students in their ranks, are working in ten agricultural enterprises.

Thus, there is a student team named after Hero of the Soviet Union P.K.Babailov in OJSC "Mayak Vysokoye". Roman Kozlov is a team commander.

Belarus is called "the blue-eyed country" not only because of the large number of lakes. Belarusians have long been growing flax. This is another important product of agricultural production. Flax fields during flowering are like lakes created by caring hands of farmers. And in order for high-quality flax to reach consumers, all technological operations must be held on time. The students of the mechanization faculty did not remain indifferent and came to assist the farmers. Three student teams are working on the fields of flax plants at OJSC "Gorkilen", flax plant "Orekhovsky", and flax plant "Dubrovensky".

The students' team named after Hero of the Soviet Union I. Babanin is occupied at the flax plant "Orekhovsky". Their commander is Ilya Zhakhov .The working team includes: Vladimir Bezzubin, Evgeny Koreka, Nikolay Ezhov, Ilia Zhakhov, Daniil Kosarim, Pavel Shapirenko, Andrei Tolkachev.

Our teams had been working for five weeks from July 20 to August 22, 2020. And at the end of the practice, the guys are determined to continue working and finish harvesting, which was sown by our same students during this spring practice.

In addition to the students' groups, more than 150 students of the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization work in farms throughout the Republic of Belarus. They preferred working on the fields to vacations. The guys perform various types of work: they remove grain, transport the harvest to grain elevators, remove flax, harvest forage. Everyone works tirelessly.

Vladislav Rukol, working during his vacations as a senior combine harvester on a grain harvester КЗС-1218 "Palesse GS12" in the enterprise "Druzhbenets" in Senno district, harvested 1,500 tones of grain and 300 tones of rapeseed. Vladislav decided not to stop there.  The young man plans to harvest 2,000 tons of grain.

Alexey Krotikov is also studying in his 4th year. Working as part of the crew of New Holland grain harvester CX8.80 in the "Yanovichi" agricultural complex, he is about to have 3000 tons of grain harvested.

Mikhail Burakov, 4th year student, plowed 450 hectares and disked 250 hec-tares on fields this spring. He is now at home in Vetka region, and is working at "Svetilovichi" farming enterprise having joined the forage company.

Look at these guys' faces. Firm, confident look, courageous, tanned faces, strong hands, accustomed to holding the steering wheel. Here they are, the future owners of our land.
