Forward, owners of land!
On March 19, within the celebration of the 180th anniversary of Belarusian State Agricultural Academy, the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization organized the festival of professional skills "Akademiyaprofi 2020", which aimed at determining the level of professional knowledge and skills of students as they would soon have their practice at agricultural enterprises.
5 student teams and a team of training masters took part in competitions. We are glad to admit that not only senior course teams, but also freshmen teams participated in the festival.
In the solemn setting the festival was opened by the rector of the Academy Vitaliy Velikanov who wished the participants victory and public recognition.
The competition programme consisted of four stages: theoretical, VAZ-2106 engine assembly, setting the arable machine-tractor unit with the tractor "Belarus-920" and plough "PNO-3-40/55", and identification of parts of tractors, cars and agricultural machines.
The first stage of competitions was held in the form of computer testing. Each participant had to answer 50 questions. The team "Druzhba" showed the best results with 38 points in the total score. Dmitry Sechko, Dmitry Mironyuk and Maxim Basharimov became the best in theoretical training in disciplines "Tractors" and "Agricultural machines".
The hands of guys are working quickly and skillfully. The “heart” of the car - the engine – is being assembled.
At this stage of competitions Andrei Selivanov, Mikhail Burakov and Igor Kovalev from the team “CLAAS” were the best. Special responsibility on the participants of the festival was imposed by the fact that the head of the Department of Technical Service and General Engineering Disciplines evaluated the participants’ work in collaboration with service engineers of the company "AGROMOTORS" Maxim Gusev, Alexey Fyodorov, Timur Papelskiy, Eugene Lyagushev.
The work of the land man in the field is really hard. In order to get bread - a particle of our life - it is necessary to process the soil carefully, and for this purpose prepare your plough and tractor for work correctly. This was the third task of the festival: setting the arable machine-tractor unit with the tractor "Belarus-920" and the plough "PNO-3-40/55." The judging of this task was carried out by associate professor of the Department of Agricultural Machines Vladimir Kovalev and senior teacher Ivan Gusarov.
No one could do better at this stage than the first year students Yuri Domchev, Pavel Shinkaruk and Dmitry Batrachenko from the team “MEHFAK”. A measuring tape, a pressure gauge, and cord were their reliable assistants in the control and adjustment of the plough frame, the depth of ploughing, and the width of the grip.
At the fourth stage of the competitions the participants were offered a task on visual identification of parts of tractors, cars, and agricultural machines. The participants were asked to determine names of 25 numbered parts, their purpose and area of application. The teams "CLAAS”, "Training Masters", and "MEHFAK" handled this task perfectly.
It was not easy for referees and their assistants among students to work, because the guys had to disadjust the plough and tractor after each team. Nikolai Drozdov, Vitaliy Zybin, Vladislav Kozubovsky, Dmitry Loginov, and Andrei Mordukhai had to disassemble the engine 6 times.
All the participants showed a good level of professional training, ability to work in a team, readiness to give a helping hand. And although the second-year students’ team "Kipish" with Daniil Marychev, Yuri Lukashik, Maxim Ivaniv, and the second-year students’ team "BeGiS" with Victor Germakovski, Ilia Borovoy, and Andrei Maskalchuk did not score winning points, but they were able to surely declare that they have no intention to stop and will fight for victory during the next festival.
The festival is over. The 3d-year students’ team "CLAAS" won the competition. The second position goes to 1st-year students from the team "MEHFAK". The team "Druzhba" representing the 4th-year students holds the third position. Masters of training Igor Gavrilenko, Victor Voronin, and Mikhail Vojtekhovsky acted out of the competition, their task was to prepare worthy rivals who would be able to become winners later.
We hope that the festival will become traditional and the students of secondary special educational establishments of the Republic of Belarus will also join the Academy competitions in the future.
Keep it up! These are competitions for real men. Forward, owners of land!
