The first steps to masterpieces

The exhibition of decorative and applied art "We create beauty with our hands" continues its work in the library named after D. Novikov. Here you can not only admire masterpieces made of a variety of materials, but also try to learn to make them.

For this purpose, master classes were organized and held within the framework of the exhibition, where craftsmen shared their experience and knowledge with beginners.

The theme of spring was the main one at the master class on souvenir magnets making. Marina Lysevskaya, a senior lecturer of the Department of Economic Theory, shared her secrets and ideas with the participants. By the way, her amazing works always adorn our exhibitions. The elegant items that were created at the master class will undoubtedly please everyone who looks at them.

Weaving from paper, often from newspaper small tubes, has now become widespread. Absolutely amazing things can be made from such materials. Irina Evtuh, a secretary of the correspondence department, and head of the academic club "Skarbnitsa" shared the secrets of making them with pedagogical faculty students during her master class.

The master class for students of the agro-ecological faculty was given by proven masters of straw weaving - Natalia Avlasevich, Elena Zushchik, Olga Brezgunova. Elena Zushchik spoke about the history and evolution of straw weaving in our country and invited everyone to make a straw charm-doll. Everybody managed to do it!
