The delegation of the BSAA has visited the Republic of Uzbekistan
In the period from 17 to 27 February the delegation of BSAA visited one of the most distant countries of Central Asia – Uzbekistan. The aims of the visit were professional orientation among the Uzbekistan schools graduates, informing them about the possibilities of studies in the Academy, and conducting interviews. The working group was headed by the First Vice-rector A.V.Kolmykov, and included Dean of Faculty for International Relations and pre-university education A.V.Pashkevich, and a senior lecturer of linguistic disciplines department O.N.Tereshkova.
The work schedule was busy and intense. The cities to be visited were situated in different parts of the republic. In Namangan with its 84 secondary schools the delegation worked for three days, having visited schools No1, 33, 34, and 58 where education is conducted in Russian. The school graduates learned a lot about the Academy, its faculties, living and studying conditions. The film about the Academy was represented.
Then the delegation moved to south-eastern part of Uzbekistan, in the industrial Navoi region. In Navoi the delegation visited Russian schools No1, 4, 7, 13, and 18. Then the city of Samarkand followed (school 37) as well as the district center Kyzyl-Tepe (schools 5, and 10).
Nearly 1700 secondary school graduates got acquainted with the information about studying and living conditions in the Academy.
