For running
In order to popularize track and field among students and employees of the academy, as well as to form the stereotype of a healthy lifestyle as a necessary factor for the successful life strategy and the creation of the academy image focused on the active development of mass sports, and holding mass sports and recreation events that meet international standards, from August 15 to 17, 2024 the educational establishment "Belarusian State the Orders of the October Revolution and the Labour Red Banner Agricultural Academy" held a running forum as part of the programme dedicated to National Unity Day.
The forum was organized by the academy administration, the Department for Educational Work with Youth, the Department of Physical Education and Sports, and the Academy's Photo Club "Rakurs".
The event was attended by athletes from the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.
Within the framework of the forum, dialogue platforms were held, where issues related to running were raised (equipment, medicine, running motivation, participation in competitions, etc.).
The forum participants visited the botanical garden, the museum of the history of the academy, the exhibition "Woe without shores," dedicated to the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. ". They also got acquainted with the material base of the academy.
The final stage of the forum was a 6-hour race, which took place on August 17 on the territory of the academy's sports complex. 14 athletes took part in the race.
Vladimir Korolev, deputy of the Mogilev Regional Council of Deputies, chairman of the Gorki regional organization of the public association "Belarusian Union of Afghanistan War Veterans", Alexander Chechetkin, director of the college for advanced training and retraining personnel, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.
In 6 hours, athletes covered 629 km. All finishers were awarded with diplomas for participation, and commemorative gifts.
