THEY ARE CONQUERING THE "GORY"

More than sixty student teams of agricultural profile work at the harvesting campaign in the Mogilev region.

Gorki district is among the leaders in the youth participation on the harvest. And this is natural, because after all, the main agricultural university of the country is located here. Almost 80 students from the Faculty of Mechanization of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy came to the agricultural organizations of the district as assistant combines, tractor drivers, plumbers.

Seven students of mechanization faculty are working at the JSC "Gory" during the harvesting campaign.  The machine operators of this enterprise have a remarkable overalls: T-shirts and caps with quotes from the President. The student Nikita Nozdrachev believes that you can't say it better about the strategy of farmers on the harvesting: "No emergency. Take off your clothes and work ".

- The forecast promises rain from noon, so we left as early as possible in order to have more time. We are currently working on rapeseed; moisture is not so scary here. The rains have tickled our nerves this week, but the weather will not adapt to us, so everyone is giving his best.

A bus takes the guys from the student hostel every morning. Free meals three times a day, and a salary bonus are provided as motivation. For third-year students of mechanization faculty this is the first practice in the field. Nikita Nozdrachev is a city guy, and his namesake Nikita Mokeichik, although being from a village, has never worked at the combine harvester:

- We got our license at the academy, we trained at the tractor track, but field conditions are a completely different thing. To capture every ear on such a colossus – this requires experience. I am from the Brest region; I am looking at the agricultural enterprises of the Gorki district. My girlfriend is from here, she studies to be a livestock specialist.

Mechanization faculty student Kirill Sadovnikov is responsible for security in the field. He was entrusted with a fire truck; the guy got the license at the academy to drive heavy trucks:

- I was taught how to turn the pump and hose in a matter of minutes. It is now rainy day, but imagine what responsibility I have when the sun is hot - one spark is enough for ignition, and we have 11 combine harvesters working in the fields.

Kirill decided to earn money to help his mother: he has three younger brothers and a sister. He would like to work closer to his home in the future, and he liked "Gory":

- Honestly, I was going here and was worried that experienced machine operators will look down on us. But they met me as their own, everyone is ready to explain, suggest. Besides, my future work as an engineer is not connected with nuts, as it may seem to many, but above all with the ability to find a common language with people.

Another student, Dmitry Maksimov, was entrusted with an energy-saturated tractor. The guy studies on a reduced term of study, having not just the license, but the practice of working in the field after college:

- I worked in "Gory" both during autumn plowing, and during spring sowing. Now we are busy with foraging. I tried all models of Belarusian energy-saturated tractors. I would also like to get the license to manage a combine harvester - the academy will recruit such a group in the new academic year. You can earn a decent supplement in the scholarship: in the spring I received two thousand rubles, I helped my parents. As a future engineer, I will be able to train beginners on any machine myself.

It is necessary to educate personnel for agriculture from school. The local school at Gory has an agroclass, with the specialty "tractor business" conducted at labour lessons. Each year, a couple of graduates successfully enter the agricultural academy. The schoolchildren help their parents on grain flow, and the agricultural enterprise, in turn, allocates funds to the school for repairs by September 1.
