The Academy today is the largest multi-disciplinary institution of higher education in the agro-industrial sector, center of education, science and culture among the CIS countries and Europe. The structure of the Academy has 9 faculties, the High School of Agribusiness and the Institution of Further Training. Currently, more than 8 thousand students study at the Academy.

The BSAA today is a research and educational complex with a widely developed infrastructure and a modern material and technical base, a center for training highly qualified specialists, one of the leaders of higher education, who made a huge contribution to the development of education and science.

On the territory of the campus with a total area of 64 hectares there are 16 educational buildings where 44 departments, 14 student dormitories, a library with the richest book collection are located and function.

The Academy also includes a teaching and experimental farm, the Palace of Culture, a canteen, a botanical garden, a dendrology park, a training ground, a sports complex, a cascade of ponds, and a biotechnological center.

Currently, the academy employs more than 1.5 thousand people, including more than 400 teachers, including 30 doctors and professors, 222 associate professors and candidates of science. Their efforts are focused on solving the main task  ̶  providing high-quality training of specialists for the agro-industrial complex of the country. Teaching staff is actively engaged in research work.

Scientists of the Academy are regularly employed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus and regional committees for agriculture and food to work in complex scientific programs, actively participate in the development of regulatory documents: as part of the working groups of the Department of Agrarian Industrial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission, in the development of law on pedigree breeding (RB), technological regulations for milk production, zootechnical rules and job description for workers in the agricultural sector.

Today, BSAA is rightfully among the leading universities of the Republic of Belarus. Among its partners are the oldest and most authoritative universities in the world, which testifies to the impeccable international reputation of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy. During 2017, export educational services were provided in the amount of more than 700 thousand US dollars.

A big responsibility is assigned to the Academy in the field of advanced training of leading cadres and specialists of agricultural production cooperatives, unitary agricultural organizations, peasant (farmer) farms, other enterprises and organizations of the agroindustrial complex.

The Academy has a special status and is a real elite training centre for Belarus. President of the Republic of Belarus A.G. Lukashenko studied at the BSAA; Deputy Prime Minister M.I. Rusy and A.N. Kalinin; Acting Minister of Agriculture and Foodstuff L. Zaiats, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus V.G. Gusakov, Ambassadors and other diplomatic workers. More than 30 graduates lead the presidential "vertical" in the regions of Belarus, and just as many work as heads of district committees for agriculture and food, 8  ̶  as general directors of science and production centres and Institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, 4 are rectors of universities, 21 are academicians and corresponding members of the NAS of Belarus.

The team of the Academy carefully preserves the vast decades-long experience and traditions of the university and, continuing the great work of their distinguished predecessors, contributes greatly to the development of science and education.
